No open mic at Music Depot this Saturday

Marc Golob has cancelled the open mic scheduled for January 3 and will resume the fun on February 1. Me, I guess I’ll record a new track next month.

Back in 1996, when you actually had to press 1,000 CDs to get your music out, Frank’s Enemy played three shows’ worth of punk rock as Loogie Soup. We put out a tape (remember them?) too.

Notes on the Open Mic at Music Depot last Saturday

I came to Music Depot last Saturday to rock. No pint-sized harmonica players this time around. The set spanned three decades of my songwriting.

1. LBpunk4Xmas - The vomit-inducing Loogie Soup Christmas Carol that I am desperately trying to finish recording before the 25th.
2. Dead Aid (The Day The Music Lied) - The toe-tapper from the CD about the sham that was Live Aid back in 1985 which I wrote in 1986.
3. Facing Up To It - The ballad of love and loss from the CD.
